In the third quarter of this year, the output of smart phone brand factories increased by 9.2% quarter by quarter to 375 million, led by the demand for festival distribution, the report said. The top six brands in turn are Samsung, Huawei, apple, oppo, Xiaomi (1810. HK) and vivo, accounting for about 78% of the global share.
According to the report, although it is expected that smart phones will continue to perform in the peak season in the fourth quarter, considering that brand factories are more rigorous in the control of finished product inventory at the end of the year, and that the market will enter a waiting period due to the launch of 5g products, which may affect the demand in the first quarter of next year, the production planning of material brand factories in the fourth quarter will be more conservative, with an estimated total production of 370 million units, slightly declining compared with the third quarter, It is estimated that the total annual production is about 1.4 billion units, a decrease of 4-5% on an annual basis.
