About Huawei and 5g Johnson

      British Prime Minister Johnson said Wednesday that Britain's decision on whether to allow Huawei China to participate in the construction of 5g telecommunication network will be based on ensuring national security and cooperation with the US led five eye intelligence alliance.
"As for Huawei and 5g, I don't want this country to be unnecessarily hostile to overseas investment," Johnson told reporters.
"On the other hand, we cannot compromise vital national security," he added. "We can't compromise our cooperation with other important five eye Alliance Security partners - that will be our key standard in making decisions about Huawei."
Huawei said it was confident that the British government would adopt an "objective" approach.
"We are confident that the UK government will continue to adopt an objective, evidence-based approach to cybersecurity," a company spokesman said.
"We provide the kind of secure, resilient systems called for in the NATO declaration and will continue to work with them to build innovative new networks," the spokesman said.
