      According to a report on the website of British Defense Weekly on January 27, 2020, the latest research report of SIPRI in Stockholm, Switzerland, shows that China is the world's second largest weapon producer after the United States. Therefore, SIPRI has not listed China in the annual ranking of top 100 military enterprises in the world before. However, SIPRI has obtained reliable military sales information from four major Chinese military enterprises in 2015-2017. SIPRI has studied the four Chinese head enterprises with open and transparent financial information, involving three major conventional weapons production departments: aerospace, electronics and army equipment systems. With the increasing public information of these enterprises, it is now possible to make a reasonable and accurate estimate of the scale of China's weapons industry.
