Labour may support such an attempt. An amendment proposed by Labour MP Yvette Cooper may set a deadline for Teresa May to get her withdrawal agreement approved by Parliament by February 26, otherwise MPs will vote to decide whether to postpone Britain's withdrawal.
John McDonnell, Labour's No. 2 figure, told the BBC that the amendment was wise and Labour was "very likely" to support it. At least nine conservative MPs have also publicly stated that they will support the amendment, indicating that the case is likely to be passed.
